NBA Trade???????

So what do you think about the Phoenix and Miami trade?

NBA Trade???????nba free agents

Dumbest trade of the NBA.

Im surprise that Steve Kerr hasn't gotten KIDNAPPED lol HEHE.
Its pretty stupid. PHX gave up Shawn Marion and Banks who was a key player. They got it for a 400 pound sumo wrestler who is probaly going to get a heart attack running up and down the floor. Shaq is gonna retire in like a year or 2. It was good for Miami. Its like the J-kidd trade NJ got the good part of it.
It was good for heat and somehow good for suns because they needed a good center and amare wa pf and shawn marions contract will expire this season, he wants a lot of money which they can't offer him. But they won't win the championship thats a promise.

Heat 9 out of 10

Suns 6 out of 10
we cant say just yet. like i said from the very beginning this was a move made for the playoffs, not the regular season. this move was made SPECIFICALLY to make the suns a better matchup against san antonio, utah, and LA, the teams with good big men. you saw how shaq had an impact in the spurs game. but when it comes to running small teams like GS, shaq doesnt belong in that style. thats why you cant judge this move quite yet. it obviously works for miami, clearing tons of cap space and getting marion. we cant determine yet for phoenix. if they have success in the playoffs, it will be a good trade for both teams.
I think that phx risked his future but became a championship candidate like miami did in 2004
like what Miami did with Shaq, Phoenix traded a long future for a better chance at a title within the next 2 years. it worked for Miami getting the title in 2006, but it remains to be seen if Phoenix can get that title by 2010.

Miami of course made perhaps the best trade of the season, even better than the Lakers getting Gasol IMHO. why? Miami's season is already lost at the time of the trade and its obvious they need to rebuild. to quickly do that, they needed to trade a player whom most "experts" said were virtually untradable because of diminishing performance and the size of the contract. in return, Miami got a player who's at his prime who can either help them by playing for them or if he opts out and leaves, clears a huge chunk of salary for Miami to sign anther star player. in all scenarios with Marion, Miami wins.
its good for the heat........bad for the suns
